Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Site Manager
to oversee all on-site activities for a large-scale
power generation project . The Site Manager will be responsible for leading construction operations at site, coordinating teams, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and delivering the project on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of power generation construction, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
Direct, manage, and supervise all site staff and site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules, specifications, safety standards and quality standards. Act as the primary point of contact on-site for project managers, contractors, engineers, and client representatives.
Site Management & Execution
Oversee daily operations including workforce scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment usage. Proactively identify and resolve site issues that may impact timelines or quality.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Enforce strict compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Promote a safety-first culture and lead daily toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Ensure environmental protection standards are met throughout project execution.
Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure smooth communication and collaboration. Attend regular progress meetings and provide detailed site reports.
Cost & Quality Control
Monitor productivity, quality of workmanship, and material usage to control costs and minimize waste. Conduct inspections to ensure work meets contractual and regulatory standards.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress, and issues. Provide weekly and monthly progress reports, highlighting risks, delays, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of construction management experience in power generation projects. Experience with management of direct hire craft on union projects. Experience with executing projects with Union Labor Agreements – National Construction Agreement, National Maintenance Agreement, Local Agreements, etc. Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and project management practices. Proven track record of managing large teams and subcontractors. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. What You’ll Get
