Overview

Our client is a growing, client-focused engineering firm dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable transportation infrastructure solutions across Indiana and the Midwest. With a strong reputation in the public and private sectors, they are seeking a strategic leader to guide and expand our highway transportation services. Responsibilities

Lead and manage the highway transportation group, including engineers, designers, and project managers. Oversee planning, design, and delivery of highway and roadway projects (local, state, and federal). Serve as the technical lead and quality assurance reviewer on key transportation projects. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with INDOT, municipalities, and private-sector clients. Identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives. Develop proposals, manage budgets, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Stay ahead of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred). Active Indiana Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months). 10+ years of transportation engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on highway projects. 5+ years in a leadership or management role within an engineering consulting firm. In-depth knowledge of INDOT design standards, project development process, and funding mechanisms. Proven success in managing multimillion-dollar highway projects from concept to construction. Strong communication, team leadership, and business development skills. Preferred Experience

Experience working with INDOT and local agencies in Indiana. Familiarity with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and other relevant design software. Experience with alternative delivery methods (e.g., Design-Build, CMGC). Active participation in professional organizations (e.g., ACEC, ASCE, ITE). What We Offer
