Position Description
The Material Planning & Warehouse Supervisor
plays a critical role in leading and coordinating the efficient flow of materials throughout our manufacturing operations. This position is accountable for managing inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring inventory accuracy, and overseeing the safe and timely movement of materials from the warehouse to production areas. Key Responsibilities
Supervise all warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and material planning for Data Center Chillers. Ensure accurate and timely receipt of incoming materials into the ERP system (SAP). Oversee the inspection of incoming shipments for shortages or damage and ensure proper labeling and documentation. Lead a team of 10–15 hourly employees, managing schedules, attendance, and timekeeping through Kronos. Support and administer the plant’s cycle counting program to maintain inventory accuracy. Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to optimize material flow and ensure timely delivery to point-of-use. Manage the return and restocking of excess materials. Develop and maintain standard work procedures for all direct reports. Maintain a receiving error log and assist in resolving discrepancies. Uphold 5S standards across docks and storage areas to ensure safety and organization. Required Education & Qualifications
Associate’s degree preferred. 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Comfortable using various computer software and applications. Why Choose Modine?
