Overview Senior Project Manager role at repsol. The Sr. Project Manager will report to the Director of Project Execution to deliver wind, solar, and battery storage projects on schedule and within budget. The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day efforts of diverse project teams with a focus on identifying and mitigating cost and schedule risk.

Implement and improve project management tools that impact project schedule and budget decisions.

Create, track, update, and report on project schedules and progress.

Coordinate with internal support teams and project analysts to track monthly budget reforecasts and update project economics.

Maintain and report on weekly project progress.

Assist technical teams with evaluating change orders and propose timely responses and settlements.

Lead due diligence for project financing, including technical support and tracking open items from investors and engineering teams.

Document and present project lessons learned to internal stakeholders.

Engage in RFP processes for EPC partner selection and actively manage EPC partners for project success.

Perform project troubleshooting, gap analyses, mitigations, and milestone tracking for utility-scale renewables.

Directly engage with electric utility counterparts to ensure successful project execution.

Support CAPEX estimates to aid in project prioritization and selection.

Lead the transfer of completed projects to the Asset Management group.

Qualifications

Authorized to work in the USA.

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.

8+ years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry.

Proven track record of managing full-life cycle EPC projects in the renewable space at utility scale, including management through COD.

Knowledge of high-level technical project management initiatives (scopes, contractor evaluation/selection, financials, schedules, estimates, contracts, constructability design reviews).

Familiarity with both technical and commercial aspects of major equipment, engineering, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and energization processes for solar and battery storage.

Experience leading late-stage development of energy projects including permitting, land, and interconnection support through construction.

Proficiency with Microsoft products or similar tools.

Analytical problem solving, strong communication, customer/partner relationships, and technology aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP certification is highly desirable.

Electrical or Civil Structural degrees are highly desirable.

Understanding of utility interconnection requirements including familiarity with FERC rules, ISO tariffs, and other interconnection requirements as needed.
