The Procurement Lead is a blended role covering all aspects of operational and strategic purchasing with respective suppliers, from placing PO’s, managing supply, change management, to strategic sourcing, supplier management, and development.
This is a global role, so the Procurement Lead must be comfortable working in an international environment with an international supply base and remote stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Selection:
Define and implement sourcing strategies for reliable, flexible, and cost-effective supply chains, including selecting optimal supply base, technical specifications, and quality parameters using sourcing best practices. Cost Reduction:
Collaborate with colleagues and suppliers to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives that meet budget expectations without compromising product or supply chain integrity. Supply Chain Setup:
Establish supply chain configurations for maximum flexibility and efficiency, negotiate contracts, lead NPI activities, and ensure inventory optimization. Supplier Management & Development:
Lead QBRs and development meetings to address risks, issues, and performance improvements. Inventory Optimization:
Manage global inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers on capacity forecasts, and handle MRB/RTV processes to manage 'bad inventory'. Process:
Maintain data integrity, ensure process adherence, and support NPI and ECO management. Qualifications:
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Science, or Engineering preferred. 7-10 years experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain, ideally in manufacturing or medical device industry. Strong communication skills for global stakeholder engagement. Interpersonal, influential, project management, and presentation skills. Team player with flexible work attitude. Proficiency in MS Office. Willing to travel. Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 depending on experience.
