The Director of Technology/IT Operations will be a mission-driven leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of NYPCC’s information technology and digital transformation, including strategy, infrastructure, data/network security, and daily operations. The Director will ensure that technology systems effectively support clinical services, administration, compliance, and patient engagement. This role directly manages the IT Network and Systems Administrator, Help Desk, and Developer personnel, while providing both operational leadership and strategic vision for all technology initiatives. Responsibilities

Lead the IT and technology teams, including help desk, network/systems administration, and developers. Develop and implement a technology roadmap that aligns with NYPCC’s mission, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth. Drive digital innovation to improve patient access, staff efficiency, and service delivery. Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on technology trends and opportunities. Oversee daily IT operations, including system administration, help desk support, and technology procurement. Ensure reliability, uptime, and performance of all clinical and administrative technology systems. Manage and optimize the electronic health records (EHR) platform, telehealth solution, and all other platforms used by clinical and administrative staff. Standardize processes for onboarding, device management, and system upgrades across the organization. Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, HITECH, OMH, DOH, and other applicable privacy/security regulations. Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, including encryption, access control, and incident response. Direct disaster recovery and business continuity planning to minimize downtime and protect sensitive data. Conduct ongoing audits and risk assessments to ensure organizational compliance. Lead all aspects of NYPCC’s digital transformation initiatives. Evaluate, implement, and maintain tools that further NYPCC’s mission through technology. Promote automation, interoperability, and cross-platform integrations to enhance operational efficiency. Champion a culture of digital adoption and innovation throughout the agency. Supervise IT staff, including the Network and Systems Administrator, Help Desk staff, and developers, fostering a culture of service, accountability, and growth. Provide training and support to clinical and administrative teams to maximize effective technology use. Define clear performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement in IT service delivery. Partner with clinical, operations, and administrative leadership to identify technology needs and opportunities. Serve as the bridge between technology, patient care, and organizational priorities. Communicate technology initiatives in a clear and accessible manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Oversee vendor relationships, technology contracts, and service-level agreements. Evaluate vendors and solutions to ensure cost-effectiveness, security, and alignment with NYPCC’s mission. Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective and mission-aligned investments. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings through efficiency and negotiation. Other duties and special projects as assigned by leadership. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). At least 4–5 years of proven leadership experience in IT or technology management, ideally within healthcare or nonprofit settings. Familiarity with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare compliance requirements. Experience managing IT support teams, with strong people management and mentoring skills. Strategic thinker with hands-on ability to solve technical challenges in a resource-conscious environment. Mission-driven, and able to represent NYPCC with professionalism and enthusiasm. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work effectively across all levels and diverse cultures. Maintains a positive, upbeat, “can-do” attitude. Thrives in a dynamic, evolving, high-change environment. Passionate about NYPCC’s mission and values. Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle to travel across Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. Additional Information
