The Assistant General Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities to optimize the use of equipment, facilities, and personnel. They consult with airport management, manage and motivate operational personnel, and work with upper management to formulate administrative and operational policies. They analyze records of daily operations to stay informed about station activities and review financial and operations reports to identify opportunities to increase profits. They prepare recommendations for upper management evaluation and may recommend capital expenditures for new equipment to improve efficiency and services. They approve requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within the facility budget. They ensure compliance with the corporate security program and TSA regulations, oversee company audits, implement site-specific security plans, and verify staff badges and identity. They enforce policies, investigate complaints, and may negotiate contracts with suppliers. Responsibilities

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or the business community Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and manage multiple variables Ability to effectively present information to top management and boards of directors Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to manage and motivate personnel Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills

Ability to write memos in prescribed style and format Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English Reliability in reporting to work on a regular and timely basis Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
