Job Description
AECOM is seeking a
Senior Project Manager
to drive the success of our Ports & Marine engineering team. This role suits an experienced civil/structural engineer with deep knowledge of port and marine infrastructure design and construction and multi-disciplinary project leadership. You will provide technical expertise, manage high-profile projects, and mentor engineers to deliver high-quality solutions for clients.
Responsibilities
Technically sound in relevant components of engineering.
Assist the Ports and Marine Texas group manager to strengthen and grow port practice in the gulf coast.
Manage multiple projects involving a full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOM.
Provide project and technical task management on multiple simultaneous projects.
Be a problem solver, identify and focus on clients’ key requirements.
Demonstrate good presentation and communication skills in English; strong technical and proposal writing skills.
Provide structural and civil engineering technical expertise on Ports and Marine projects across the west region.
Assist in developing new client relationships and strengthen existing ones.
Understand commercial drivers, project risk, and profitability.
Show strong team leadership, be a self-starter, energetic and proactive.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in Structural, Civil Engineering or Maritime engineering.
Valid Driver's License for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer Registration (Texas preferred).
10 years of related design experience in seaport infrastructure such as container terminals, dry bulk, and liquid bulk wharves and uplands.
Experience leading projects to quality, timeliness, and budget parameters.
Ability to cement client relationships and grow sales and bookings from area clients.
Houston residency or established residency in the area.
MS in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Experience in ports, marine, or waterfront projects; proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation.
Strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation; excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Experience working with public agencies, private clients, and major port authorities; strong business development experience including proposal writing and client negotiations.
Additional Information
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
Compensation
Offered compensation will be based on location and qualifications. The expected range is USD 150,000 - USD 190,000 per year.
