Overview
Assistant Team Leader – Lewisville 3040. In conjunction with the Team Leader, the Assistant Team Leader oversees all aspects of textile and hard goods production. Major duties include meeting production quotas, training, developing team members, and performing assigned duties and management responsibilities. Essential Functions/Duties
Ensures 100% world class customer service. Assist the Team Leader with all aspects of team management, including hiring, training, development, supervision, evaluation, and terminations, in alignment with Goodwill’s policies, procedures, and job descriptions. Provide input and support in employee disciplinary actions and terminations as needed. Ensure the donation attendants consistently deliver exceptional donor service. Supervise and direct the daily activities of sales floor staff, including recovery clerks, cashiers, and keyholders, to maintain operations efficiency and a positive customer experience. Supervise receiving inventory, stock rotations, color rotations, scheduled markdowns, and transfer of stock in accordance with the organization’s procedures within assigned areas. Ensure the store operates within budgeted expenses to revenue ratios and by donors per square foot; maintain proper stewardship of donations and processing of donation flow in/out of policy. Aid Team Leader in scheduling and performance reviews; maintain labor and payroll in accordance with Goodwill Dallas policies and procedures. Assure that production quotas are met; responsible for the quality and quantity of textile and hard goods produced. Responsible for image, maintenance, loss prevention, safety, housekeeping, and security of the store in accordance with policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with CARF standards and CPSC requirements. Inspect equipment (forklift, stacker, baler, etc.) used in the production area to ensure proper operation. Maintain reports and records, including cash handling and end-of-day reports, safety inspections, stock on hand, donation verification, training and reporting, incident/accident reports, petty cash, monthly leadership reports, floor allocation, and scheduling. Attend in-service trainings and perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader. Qualifications/Competencies
Ability to adhere to the organization’s Core Principles. Ability to operate cash register, calculator, and basic computer skills; experience with POS systems. Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and/or direction from Team Leader. Knowledge of product recalls and unacceptable donated goods; skilled in maintaining inventory, sales, and store records. Ability to supervise, train, develop, and mentor team members; knowledge of textile and hard goods classification. High School education or equivalent required; college education or five years in retail management preferred. Prior retail/stock handling and Goodwill experience are preferred. Mathematics: basic arithmetic, discounts, commissions, etc.; basic algebra/geometry concepts. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with POS systems. Supervisory responsibilities but no subordinate supervisors (Keyholders). No purchasing authority except as approved by the Team Leader. Special requirements: must be available to work evenings and weekends; reliable transportation. Special Conditions of Employment
