Responsibilities
Planning & Facilities Management provides a supportive and dynamic environment that fosters academic excellence, innovation, and vibrant campus life. Responsibilities include planning and managing the physical infrastructure of the historic campus, ensuring functionality, safety, and aesthetics; partnering with faculty, staff, and students to understand and address needs, creating spaces that inspire learning, discovery, and collaboration; implementing sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact; and deploying innovative technologies to optimize building operations and enhance the user experience.
Direct the planning and execution of small-scale facilities projects across campus buildings and properties. Oversee the coordination and delivery of maintenance and deferred maintenance programs. Provide leadership and guidance to the Project Manager at the Calcagnini Contemplative Center (CCC). Lead a high-performing team and support a proactive, customer-focused service culture. Implement strategies to continuously improve service delivery using data and customer feedback.
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Facilities and Residential Services, the Director of Facilities Services plays a key leadership role within Planning and Facilities Management. The Director supervises multiple managerial and frontline staff, including the Project Manager at CCC, and collaborates with campus partners to align service delivery with institutional goals. This position supports a respectful, solutions-based, and inclusive work environment and ensures the physical campus supports Georgetown University’s mission and values.
Requirements And Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline or a combination of education and experience 7 years of facilities management experience 4 or more years of supervisory experience in facilities management (preferred) CFM Certification (preferred)

Pay Range
The projected salary range is $80,429.00 – $157,238.93. Compensation is determined by factors including qualifications, experience, education, skills, and the University’s needs.
