Caregiver
Overview
The Residential Director provides for administrative, clinical and program operations of developmental disability programs. Provides supervision to Residential staff. Coordinates clinical, personnel and routine management concerns in the residential homes. This is a Full-time On-Call position in Augusta, GA. Responsibilities
Plans, manages and directs the operations of a program supporting individuals through Medicaid Waiver and State Funded services (Customized Employment, Supported Employment, Prevocational work activities and community activities, etc.). Ensures quality standards, as defined by the agency (Caregiver, Inc), the Department of Behavior Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), Department of Labor (DOL), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and other pertinent regulating entities. Develops program outcomes in collaboration with agency staff and pertinent stakeholders. Develop, recommend and implement new systems and programs designed to meet resident and agency needs. Maintain responsibility and oversight of day habilitation planning, documentation and billing, ensuring timely and accurate submission of Medicaid billing information. Review and/or approve staff timecards, time sheets, leave requests and overtime. Oversee budget development to include monitoring of expenditure; identify opportunities for improving revenue management and program efficiencies; develop and implement a short and long term plan for creating a viable department that maintains budgetary integrity; manage unit utilization. Possess strong analytical skills for interpretation and action to improve quality of services. Experience in program development, quality management and in building effective teams. Responsible for ensuring and monitoring adherence to all DBHDD and Waiver regulations. Reviews program to determine efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with Federal, State and local requirements/regulations and program outcomes. Ensures compliance with agency policies/procedures, documentation and reporting requirements. Ensure that the Residential program operates within established budget guidelines. Develop and monitor yearly budget in conjunction with senior management and finance each year. Ensures timely and pertinent communication to direct reports, agency staff, individuals supported and appropriate stakeholders. Builds and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of experience in IDD industry. Management experience preferably in a multi-site environment, with detailed understanding of Microsoft Office Software. Strong organizational and planning skills, communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Prefer previous exposure to HCS or ICF environment as a manager over multi-sites location. Requires extensive mental activities including the ability to use educated and intuitive judgment, advise, counsel, influence, debate, negotiate, organize, plan and synthesize concepts. Ability to work in a demanding environment and make wise decisions under stressful circumstances. Requires exceptional coaching and mentoring skills to improve employee development. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Equipment skills required: PC, calculator, copier, fax machine, scanner. Physical Requirements
Duties include sitting (60%), standing/walking (20%), bending/pushing/pulling/stooping/reaching/kneeling (20%), grasping/finger manipulation (50%). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to operate computer, facsimile, copier, scanner and calculator. Office setting with standard conditions; travel within assigned region and occasional travel outside region.
