Manager, Compensation (Irvine, CA) Johnson and Johnson MedTech, Electrophysiology Johnson & Johnson MedTech Electrophysiology is recruiting for a Manager, Compensation within the Electrophysiology (EP) business unit based in Irvine, CA. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Compensation Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and management of compensation programs across our dynamic medical technology organization. This role will ensure our compensation plans are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives, with a focus on the administration and integration of incentive compensation platforms.

Position Overview Oversee development, implementation, and management of compensation programs including base pay structures, incentive plans, and equity programs. Serve as a strategic advisor on compensation design and partner with HR leadership on compensation planning for annual reviews, promotions, and market adjustments. Lead a team of analysts in the administration and ongoing optimization of the incentive compensation platform, with hands-on experience using incentive compensation systems.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and manage compensation programs and serve as a strategic advisor on compensation design.

Lead a team of analysts on the administration and optimization of the incentive compensation platform, including configuration, data integration, reporting, and troubleshooting.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and IT to ensure accuracy of incentive calculations and payouts.

Monitor compensation trends to ensure competitive positioning and regulatory compliance; partner on annual reviews, promotions, and market adjustments.

Support data analysis, modeling, and reporting for decision-making and executive presentations; document policies and workflows related to compensation systems.

Manage relationships with external vendors/consultants and provide guidance to HR partners on compensation philosophy and systems.

Mentor and develop a high-performance team; lead department initiatives including system upgrades and process harmonization.

Influence strategic direction with customer-focused solutions and resource mobilization for meaningful change.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or CCP preferred.

Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in compensation management in healthcare or life sciences.

Experience with Zaidyn Incentive Compensation or similar systems, including implementation or integration.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, HRIS, and BI tools.

Experience with data integration across platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, ERP).

Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills and high attention to detail.

Preferred

Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent).

Interest in leadership development and fostering a culture of innovation.
