The Account Manager is the service experience leader of the client team, supporting and implementing the risk management and insurance program strategies. The Account Manager supports the client and Account Executive in program administration, marketing, placement, and carrier management. He or she also provides directions and works with the Account Analyst to deliver on client needs.

Responsibilities
On an ongoing basis, the AM is responsible as the key contact for the client's service-related issues. Confirm coverage or answer questions about the specifics of the Policy. Provide counsel or direction when a loss occurs. Interpret policy information and share back to the client accurately. Prepare and gather information that will contribute to the client strategic plan, including exposures, loss runs, and carrier data. Analyze gathered information and make recommendations and provide insight based on level and skillset. Conduct annual commissions reconciliations and updates with AA support; communicate to AE. Execute defined marketing strategy. Typically market less complex lines of coverage. Identify and analyze client exposures. Interpret and evaluate policy terms to ensure adequate coverage for Client’s identified exposure. Project manage renewal implementation. Work with carriers and clients to update changes to coverages. Confirm coverages are correctly placed and carriers and clients are ready for the new policy year. Second set of eyes on policy checks. Project manage new client onboarding, leveraging standard checklists and tools. Document communications strategy and enroll clients in standard delivered programs or client add-ons. Manage client financial reporting and claims analysis, including providing data to the client. Work closely with the financial analytics team as appropriate. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in client services for property and casualty, including servicing and placement. Bachelor's degree in a business-related program or equivalent education and/or experience in the insurance industry. Intermediate understanding of P&C coverage lines in multiple product lines. Intermediate knowledge of different risk financing strategies and products available to clients. Relationships with insurance/carrier markets in assigned areas, or ability to develop same immediately. Basic negotiation skills related to marketing and placement of insurance products. A strong working knowledge of the changing vendor landscape, including new entrants into the marketplace and cutting-edge products and solutions. Knowledge of federal and state legislation and legal issues related to the insurance industry. Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information to facilitate decision-making. Full proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic presentation skills.
