Position: Risk Specialist
Location: Redmond, Washington
Duration: 12 Months to begin with
Pay Range:
$68.18/hour to $87.12/hour
Must Have: Manual Investigation, Risk Analysis, Fraud analysis, UAT, escalation
Job Overview:
The Risk Specialist role is a highly analytical position that involves evaluating high-risk transactions and accounts, analyzing suspicious patterns, and conducting complex fraud investigations. The individual will work on investigation specialist functions, apply risk policies, and recommend updates to ensure the integrity of operations. This position requires a strong background in risk management and fraud detection, with a focus on operational requirements and manual investigations.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate high-risk transactions and accounts. Analyze suspicious patterns and behaviors. Review escalated cases and assess fraud exposure levels. Validate risk scores and handle escalations effectively. Apply and recommend updates to risk policies. Lead complex fraud investigations and prepare detailed risk reports. Provide operational requirements to product and engineering teams. Write operational test cases and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) on operational features. Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform manual investigations using integrated tools and platforms.
Qualifications:
6-8 years of experience in risk management, fraud detection, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate high-risk transactions and accounts. Experience in conducting complex fraud investigations and preparing risk reports. Proficiency in writing operational test cases and performing UAT. Ability to develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs). Experience with manual investigations using integrated tools and platforms. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range: $68.18 - $87.12
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
