Base pay range: $220,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr Tax Manager Location: Midtown, NYC (Hybrid Schedule) The Firm: A top performing, rapid growing, $10B+ multi-strategy hedge fund with investing globally in traditional and alternative investment strategies for more than 25 years. Their strategies include Structured Credit, Event Driven, US Equity L/S, Fixed Income, etc. The Role: The firm is seeking a Tax Manager due to growth. This role will report to the Director of Tax and be responsible for various tax advisory functions in relation to partnership, corporate and international tax. BH: 34348 Qualifications
5-8 years professional tax experience Industry exposure in public accounting, private equity, real estate, fund of funds, or hedge funds Experience in US taxation of foreign operations including E&P, foreign tax credits, and basis analysis CPA is a plus Strong analytical and organizational skills Responsibilities
Work with tax advisors to coordinate all tax related matters. Manage tax attributes and projection optimization strategies such as US Foreign Tax credit, GILTI, U.S. and local tax basis, E&P, etc. Assist with data collection and monitor K-1’s, tax basis, and state notices. Review Federal and State tax returns. Manage and assist with quarterly tax projections. Responsible for fund accounting, NAV calculations and investor allocations. Production and monitoring of carried interest calculations. Review accounting work papers and financial statements. Act as liaison between third party administrator and management to resolve issues and streamline processes. Prepare and review financial reports and ad hoc reports. Maintain effective internal controls, policies, and mechanisms around complex entity structure. Manage the automation and documentation of processes. Seniority level
