This position focuses on commercial mortgage risk management and customer service, with responsibilities that may evolve as the company grows. Responsibilities

Plan and schedule own workload to efficiently meet departmental benchmarks. Provide premier customer service to lenders, borrowers, servicing staff, and regional offices. Manage a portfolio of commercial real estate loans across Life Insurance Company Lenders with varying requirements and regulations. Analyze annual and quarterly financial statements for multifamily and commercial properties in accordance with lender and investor requirements. Follow up with borrowers and management companies regarding variances and income/expense questions. Review and recommend releases from reserves (replacement, repair, capital expenditure, TI/LC, and insurance loss). Monitor maturing loans and provide required notices to borrowers. Monitor and update monthly loan reports used by investors and management to analyze portfolio risk. Audit new loan boarding and setup to ensure terms and covenants are accurately captured in the servicing system. Underwrite and recommend lender consent for borrower requests (lease approvals, maturity extensions, collateral substitutions, easements, etc.). Calculate and coordinate loan payoff requests, including yield maintenance calculations. Monitor and collect outstanding mortgage payments, documenting collection efforts. Develop strong relationships with Life Insurance Company Lenders. Provide training and mentoring across the team on analysis, underwriting, and CRE knowledge. Assist team members with advanced or complicated consent requests. Assist Managers with monitoring team tasks, reviewing write-ups/recommendations, quality control, and lender feedback. Travel minimally for lender visits, industry/company conferences (1-3 times per year). Contribute to procedure committees updating policies and procedures for Portfolio & Asset Management. Perform other reasonable tasks/projects as assigned within the department. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in finance, real estate, or accounting. 4-6 years of experience in finance or accounting; background in commercial lending or servicing preferred. Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Strong knowledge of commercial real estate finance and commercial loan terminology. Underwriting and/or lender asset management experience on multifamily and commercial properties. Solid understanding of commercial real estate finance. Demonstrated leadership and training abilities. Strong analytical and modeling skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service orientation with the ability to serve internal and external customers. Strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision. Strong work ethic and willingness to work extended hours when necessary. Attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving skills appropriate to responsibilities. Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information. Positive attitude in all situations. Colorado residents: Northmarq considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including education, training, and experience. The salary range for the Portfolio Manager position is $85,000 to $110,000 annually. This range is a good-faith estimate and the offer depends on the candidate’s skills and experience.
