POSITION SUMMARY If you're passionate about working in Project Control for a leading-edge government security company, Constellis has a great opportunity for you! Constellis is hiring a Senior Project Control Specialist to be part of a dynamic and growing team located in Herndon, VA.

As a Senior Project Control Analyst, you'll oversee all project financial functions such as cost controls, budgeting, revenue recognition, project setup, variance analysis, and reporting for government and/or commercial contracts.

The successful candidate will develop and analyze estimates at completion, monitor actual costs and commitments, prepare program review presentations, and produce financial deliverables as required per contract for both internal and external use. The ability to lead and direct others regarding project control processes and problem-solving skills are crucial. You will interface with various function groups, including Finance & Accounting, Program Management, Contracts, and Procurement, to ensure project success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up new projects in accordance with contractual, financial compliance, and operational reporting requirements.

Participate in collaboration meetings to optimize project setup for revenue, billing, and reporting using Deltek Costpoint and COGNOS.

Prepare detailed estimates to complete/estimates at completion for assigned projects and review with project managers.

Review monthly project costs and revenue, record accruals, monitor performance, and prepare variance analysis and reports.

Review detailed costs for accuracy.

Prepare correction forms for non-labor adjustments and coordinate with employees or supervisors.

Prepare monthly program review presentations and assist project managers in presenting results to management.

Monitor contract funding, backlog, and unbilled balances; track commitments and develop funding projections.

Identify 'at risk' funding and develop mitigation solutions.

Support development of cost proposals for bids, ROMs, ECPs, and adjustment requests.

Determine impacts of indirect costs on projects to ensure proper funding and profitability.

Review invoices for compliance with contract requirements.

Assist with weekly cash forecasting and annual budget preparation.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

7+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience with Deltek Costpoint, including project setup, revenue recognition, and billing.

Experience with large contracts with multiple CLINs and revenue types.

Knowledge of financial analysis processes and procedures.

Understanding of EAC development.

Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Office Suite, especially Excel.

Organized, detail-oriented, motivated, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of government contract types such as FFP, Labor Hour, T&M, and Cost Reimbursable.
