Salary $200,000 - $250,000 per year A Bit About Us A well-established law firm is seeking a Director of Accounting to take on a high-impact leadership role. This is a rare opportunity to be immediately trained by the incumbent who will be retiring. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting leader with strong operational skills, a background in professional services, and the ability to drive both strategic and day-to-day financial management. Job Details Key Responsibilities Oversee all core accounting functions, including general ledger, billing, receivables, payables, fixed assets, and trust accounting Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and process efficiency across the accounting function Manage cash flow, banking relationships, payroll, and tax filings Lead preparation for audits and coordinate with external auditors Maintain and enhance accounting systems and procedural documentation Partner closely with firm leadership on financial strategy and analysis Contribute to the development of internal policies and accounting best practices Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior leadership required CPA or MBA preferred Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting Professional services or law firm experience required Familiarity with Aderant software a plus Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling complex financial scenarios Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; high integrity a must Interested in hearing more?
