A Services Manager in FSO EDGE State & Local Tax will be responsible for delivering and managing tax compliance and consulting work for clients. The objective is to recognize and identify problem areas and items that need to be addressed or escalated to ensure client needs are timely and accurately completed. You will work in a highly collaborative culture with colleagues from different practices and share information. Responsibilities
Deliver and manage tax compliance and consulting work for clients in the FSO EDGE practice. Identify problems, escalate issues as needed, and ensure timely, accurate client deliverables. Collaborate with professionals across practices to share information and best practices. Skills and Attributes for Success
Analyze an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights. Identify opportunities and risks and communicate these to clients. Learn and research current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor. Develop clear, intelligent plans to improve clients’ tax activities. Research clients’ business operations and build long-lasting relationships to tailor advice. Collaborate with a motivated team and build long-term client relationships. Maintain reputation by updating and sharing technical knowledge and best practices. Manage, coach and develop a team of tax professionals, review work, and provide tools and opportunities for growth. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline; graduate degree in Tax or Law is a plus. CPA or licensed Attorney. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in professional services or professional tax organization. Understanding of automated tax processing systems and applicable laws in your area of expertise. Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills with the confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to continuing your learning. Preferred Requirements
Understanding of state and local partnership tax. Proficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Return Preparation Software. Experience working in diverse teams and adapting work style for internal and client teams. What We Look For
