Position Summary
The Head of Broad-Based Compensation leads the design, delivery, and execution of Versant’s global compensation programs below the executive level. This role oversees salary structure design, job architecture, merit planning, incentive program governance, and compensation benchmarking, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness. The ideal candidate combines technical depth with business acumen and can flex between strategy and hands-on program delivery. Key Responsibilities
Design and manage global salary ranges, job leveling frameworks, and pay structures Lead annual merit, promotion, and incentive planning cycles in partnership with HR Ops and People Partners Partner with Finance and business leaders to review and enhance short-term incentive programs for non-executives Oversee market benchmarking, survey participation, and job matching methodology Advise HRBPs on compensation-related inquiries and offers Maintain consistent job architecture and compensation practices across business units and countries Ensure compliance with global pay transparency laws and audit processes Manage compensation analyst supporting modeling, benchmarking, and compensation planning Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and analytical team culture Qualifications
8–10+ years of compensation experience, including global program design Strong expertise in salary structure design, job leveling, and benchmarking methodology Experience with compensation planning systems Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills Additional Requirements
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $200,000 - $225,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible) Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need. Additional Information
