The Role The Software Renewal Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting the internal processes related to Cisco subscription renewals. This role partners closely with internal sales teams, account managers, customer success managers, and finance to ensure seamless renewal operations, accurate forecasting, and revenue retention. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Cisco's software licensing and subscription models, enabling them to streamline workflows and drive internal efficiency. Responsibilities include: Renewal Management & Support Manage and track Cisco subscription and enterprise agreement opportunities across internal accounts. Prepare and distribute renewal quotes and documentation to account managers and sales teams.
Monitor subscription expiration dates and flag at-risk renewals for proactive follow-up.
Internal Collaboration Serve as the primary point of contact for sales teams regarding Cisco subscription renewals and policies.
Collaborate with account managers and customer success managers to provide data, insights, and renewal-related support.
Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate invoicing, pricing, and documentation.
Data Management & Reporting Maintain accurate renewal records, pipeline data, and forecasting details in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
Generate renewal performance reports and provide actionable insights to sales leadership.
Track and analyze renewal trends, identifying internal process gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Process Optimization Streamline internal workflows related to Cisco renewals to increase efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
Ensure compliance with Cisco's subscription policies, licensing requirements, and contractual terms.
Stay updated on Cisco's product offerings, subscription models, and pricing changes to guide internal teams effectively.
Training & Enablement Provide training and support to sales teams on Cisco renewal processes and best practices.
Develop internal resources and documentation to guide stakeholders through the renewal lifecycle.
Required Skills and Professional Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience. 1-3+ years of experience in software renewals, subscription management, sales operations or related field. Familiarity with Cisco's software licensing models (e.g., Smart Accounts, Enterprise Agreements, and software subscriptions) is strongly preferred.
Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and quoting tools. Strong understanding of subscription and renewal management workflows.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
