This position involves working on high-profile cases in an office setting, with paralegal duties focused on litigation support and preparation for upcoming trials. You will provide case management and database maintenance in a litigation support capacity and gain experience using automated litigation support and eDiscovery tools. The Paralegal works closely with federal prosecutors supporting the Market, Government Consumer Fraud Unit in a fast-paced setting and assists in investigation and prosecution efforts to enforce U.S. laws, including support for witness interviews, deposition preparation, and in-courtroom trial support. Compiles, prepares, and summarizes materials for use by attorneys in discovery and preparation of motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Summarizes depositions and transcripts; maintains case files and performs simple legal research. Indexes, tracks, and controls document discovery (including documents produced and received). Indexes and tracks exhibits and other material at depositions and trials; prepares exhibit cross-references. Assists attorneys in the courtroom. Reviews documents for relevance and privilege according to guidelines and criteria. Compiles documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, etc. Qualifications
Required:
Paralegal certificate or a four-year college degree. At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience related to task order, project or document management, policy, research, government staffing, publishing, or equivalent experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills with familiarity with word processing, databases (document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems. Technological proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Understanding of how electronically stored information works within an operating system; experience managing, organizing, and analyzing digital files and folders; transferable skills related to ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures. This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits meet or exceed the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location. Minimum Required Hourly Wage: $25.58. Other factors such as location, experience, skills, education, and certifications may influence final salary.
