You will work closely with our senior partners and associates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files. Responsibilities
Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations Collaborate with partners and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently Perform legal research and prepare legal memoranda, identify marks, and organize evidence to support the client's case, and prepare statements of facts for cases with citations to the evidence Billable Hour Requirement of 140 hours per month Qualifications
Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base Candidates must have passed the bar exam Licensed to practice law in the State of California 2+ years of experience in Probate, Family, Business Litigation, or Trust Law Compensation
$45 - $80 hourly DOE
