UC Riverside's Administrative Services and Strategic Executive Team (ASSET) is recruiting for a Director of Academic Personnel. The full salary range for the Director is $93,200 - $174,200 annually. The expected pay scale of this position is up to $140,000 annually.
The Director of Academic Personnel (AP) serves as the principal advisor and subject matter expert on all academic personnel matters and is a key member of the Administrative Services and Strategic Executive Team (ASSET). This position reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial & Administrative Officer for ASSET, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Education.
The Director provides strategic leadership, policy interpretation, and operational oversight for a broad range of academic personnel functions within the units supported by ASSET. This includes appointments and reviews for Ladder Rank Faculty, Non-Senate Faculty (including Unit 18 Lecturers), Academic Student Employees (ASEs), and academic administrators.
The role supports all academic personnel operations for the Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE), which encompasses the Undergraduate Writing Program, Academic Resource Center, and University Honors. Additionally, the Director may support academic HR functions for academic administrators across ASSET-supported units.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Master's degree in related field preferred. 6 - 10 years of related experience. Advanced knowledge of academic policies, compensation structures, collective bargaining agreements, and academic recruitment processes. Preferred Qualifications
Expert-level knowledge of academic policies, compensation structures, collective bargaining agreements, and academic recruitment processes. Ability to analyze complex management issues, develop project scope and solutions, give professional advice to senior officials, and make critical decisions regarding personnel.
