ATF is a law enforcement agency in the U.S. Department of Justice that protects our communities from violent criminals/criminal organizations, illegal use/trafficking of firearms, illegal use/storage of explosives, acts of arson/bombings, acts of terrorism, and illegal diversion of alcohol/tobacco products. We partner with communities, industries, law enforcement, and public safety agencies to safeguard the public through information sharing, training, research, & technology.
To qualify for GS-14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13.
Additional Conditions of Employment:
GS-14 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties:
Advising and consulting in the role of a functional program as an expert making major/precedent setting technical decisions concerning the employee benefits area; AND
Providing continuing leadership, direction, and guidance to staff; AND Experience overseeing and independently makes strategic decisions regarding the operation and functionality of the office; AND
Conducting broad range of fact-finding and analytical techniques and decisions on interpretation of varied and complex data within the context of the requirements of laws, regulations, or policies; AND
Serving as a management advisor on the most complex and difficult issues.
