Overview IDC is seeking a dynamic Training Development & Engagement Specialist (Contractor) to design, coordinate, and facilitate scalable business-specific training and development programs. This role is instrumental in building a repository of training content that promotes consistency, scalability, and standardization of delivery across IDC's Research & Data organization. This role reports to the Business Operations team and partners closely with internal subject matter experts (SMEs). The ideal candidate combines project management discipline, instructional design best practices, and change enablement expertise, with strong familiarity using tools like Adobe Learning Manager and training authoring tools.

Responsibilities

Training Development & Facilitation: Design, develop, and facilitate effective and engaging learning programs, including e-learning, instructor-led (virtual & in-person), and blended learning experiences.

Training Needs Analysis: Collaborate with business leaders and SMEs to conduct training needs analysis.

Training Toolkits: Create standardized training toolkits including job aids, quick reference guides, facilitator guides, and post-training reinforcement assets.

Change Management: Support change management efforts through communication and learning strategies aligned with business transformation.

Instructional Design: Apply principles of instructional design and adult learning theory.

Accessibility & Inclusion: Ensure accessibility and inclusive learning design.

Evaluation & Iteration: Utilize evaluation models to assess training effectiveness and iterate on content.

Engagement & Learning Operation

Content Library: Build and maintain a structured content library/repository in a centralized location (SharePoint, etc.).

Tracking & Analytics: Track and report on training participation, completion, and effectiveness via data-driven dashboards and analytics.

Learning Calendar: Establish a learning calendar in alignment with strategic business initiatives.

Feedback Mechanisms: Lead feedback collection mechanisms: post-session surveys, pulse checks, learner interviews.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

5+ years in corporate training, L&D, or organizational effectiveness roles.

Demonstrated experience designing and deploying content using LMS platforms (Adobe Learning Manager, Workday Learning, Cornerstone, etc.).

Advanced knowledge of e-learning tools.

Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile), tools (Smartsheet, Monday.com), and content versioning systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and comfort with executive-level reporting.

Proven ability to influence and drive adoption across matrixed teams.

Strong facilitation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience supporting global learning initiatives that span across time zones.

Certification in instructional design, change management (Prosci), project management (PMP, PMI-ACP), or L&D tools (ATD, CPTD) is preferred.

Familiarity with analytics dashboards (Power BI, etc.) for training effectiveness reporting is preferred.
