CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our Technical Services Unit (TSU), providing HR support to the Water Services Group. Reporting to and working in partnership with the Manager, Human Resources Business Partner, this role will provide strategic HR leadership, driving initiatives that align with corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will provide strategic HR leadership and guidance to managers and employees across designated regions or divisions, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide HR strategies, policies, and programs. Key responsibilities include: Administering a broad range of HR functions including employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, engagement, workforce and succession planning, employee development, performance management, organizational development, HRIS, recruitment support, and relocation. Identifying and escalating emerging HR trends and issues, collaborating with business leaders to support workforce planning. Serving as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, managing conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, grievances, and discrimination concerns. Partnering with other HR teams to address organizational challenges, recommending innovative approaches to enhance departmental efficiency and service delivery. The role can be based in Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, or Houston, TX, and requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related experience. Preferred qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
