A national defense litigation practice is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Transportation Litigation group in their office locations. The position is geared toward attorneys with several years of experience in casualty and transportation matters who want to expand their practice within a collaborative environment. A hybrid work schedule is available.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support senior attorneys in managing a litigation caseload
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents
Conduct legal research and provide analysis on transportation and regulatory issues
Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and mediations
Assist in settlement negotiations and case evaluations
Collaborate with team members across offices on strategy and client service
Prepare case updates and reports for client stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
JD from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice in California
3–5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in transportation or general casualty matters
Deposition and motion practice experience required
Trial experience preferred
Knowledge of trucking, logistics, or related regulations helpful
Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Strong organizational and communication abilities
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary range: $165,000 – $210,000
Discretionary bonus eligibility
