Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Commercial Property Manager to oversee the daily operations, tenant relations, and long-term value of one or more commercial properties. The ideal candidate has a background in property management and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities
Tenant & Lease Management
Serve as the main point of contact for tenants, maintaining strong professional relationships Coordinate lease negotiations, renewals, expansions, and terminations Ensure compliance with lease terms and resolve tenant disputes or concerns promptly Meeting with potential tenants, showing them the property and assessing their applications in accordance with laws Work with legal teams to manage lease documentation and enforce lease obligations
Property Maintenance:
Supervise daily operations of the property including building systems, common areas, and vendor services Schedule and manage preventative and corrective maintenance with contractors and in-house teams Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational integrity Maintain regular communication with ownership regarding open maintenance work orders, including status updates, timelines, and budget implications
Financial & Budget Management:
Review and approve vendor invoices Report the property's financial status, occupancy, and expiring leases to property owner Monitor rent collections, enforce payment terms, and oversee delinquencies
Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications
Strong communication and customer services skills Proficiency in bookkeeping or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) Excellent organizational skills and attention to details. Team oriented and able to be coached or managed 2+ years of experience in commercial property management (retail, office, or industrial) Proficient in property management software (e.g., Appfolio) Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties simultaneously. In addition to our ever-progressing building side, we develop and manage our own rental properties.
