Operations Supervisor Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and the hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities, including driver deliveries, loading/unloading trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations, in line with company service and cost objectives. Supervise most processes directly, including workforce and equipment scheduling. Responsible for corrective actions and disciplinary decisions up to written warnings. Participate in hiring processes and customer meetings as necessary. Review truck routes based on account locations, volume, costs, customer requirements, and private fleet utilization. Review daily orders for private fleet opportunities based on these factors. Schedule :

Sunday - Wednesday 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (hours may vary depending on business needs) Salary :

$70,900 - $91,950. Position is bonus eligible up to 12% of base salary. Major Responsibilities : People Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable. Interview hourly associates and provide hire recommendations. Monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance indicators; provide counseling or recognition as needed. Operations Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch, and documentation control. Evaluate and recommend improvements to work methods to increase productivity. Assist in training new associates and provide relief coverage when needed. Maintain thorough knowledge of site operating systems to ensure compliance and resolve exceptions. Complete records and reports accurately and timely. Finance Ensure compliance with financial policies regarding inventory, returns, damages, etc. Understand decision-making impacts on profitability. Manage associates' work hours to minimize overtime and meet productivity targets. Safety Align daily activities with safety strategies. Provide safety training, feedback, and direction to associates. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies. Growth / Customer Experience Understand and support location-specific customer goals. Communicate commitment to customer objectives. Identify areas for continuous improvement. Fleet / Assets Plan work assignments for effective use of fleet and equipment. Ensure associates operate equipment safely and efficiently. Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications : 2-4 years of related experience. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Regular attendance is essential. Willingness to travel, work required schedule, and pass background and drug screening. Physical Requirements : Ability to read, communicate, analyze information, and follow instructions. May need to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 25 lbs. Visual acuity required includes near, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
