BillionToOne
Overview
We are looking for a motivated
Planner/Buyer
to join our Supply Chain team and help keep our molecular diagnostic lab running smoothly. Unlike traditional manufacturing, our final product isn’t a tangible good — it’s critical health information. To deliver these results, our lab relies on a steady flow of reagents, consumables, and components. As a Buyer/Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the right materials are available at the right time. You’ll manage planning Bills of Materials (BOMs) for Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs), translate testing forecasts into material needs, and work with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply. This is an onsite role with time required at both our Menlo Park and Union City facilities. We are not considering fully remote applicants for this position. Responsibilities
Use NetSuite MRP planning tools to forecast and plan material requirements for lab operations. Build and maintain planning BOMs that translate test volumes into accurate material consumption. Manage purchase orders, supplier relationships, and on-time delivery of reagents and consumables. Monitor inventory levels and adjust safety stock to support high-throughput workflows. Collaborate with Lab Operations, Quality, and R&D to align material supply with testing needs. Apply ERP best practices from NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle to continuously improve processes. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field; OR a minimum of 5 years of practical, hands-on experience in a NetSuite planning role. 3+ years of experience as a Buyer/Planner, Supply Planner, or similar role in diagnostics, life sciences, or biotech. Strong proficiency in NetSuite MRP planning tools (required). Prior experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems (preferred). Ability to conceptualize and manage planning BOMs for internal lab consumption. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Understanding of basic biology and experience working with Oligo and Life Science supply base. Compensation and Benefits
At BillionToOne, we offer a combination of (1) competitive base pay, (2) generous equity options, (3) corporate bonus program, on top of (4) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid parental leave, etc.). For this position, the total compensation package is $147,083 per year, including a base pay range of $104,040 - $124,848 per year. Additional benefits include multiple medical plan options, retirement savings with company match, generous time off, on-site meals and amenities, and on-site facilities. About BillionToOne
