Overview
Senior Associate Athletics Director, Finance & Business Operations, Fresno State Athletics. Anticipated Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000/year. This is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position. Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for the business, financial, and operational functions of Fresno State Athletics, overseeing the department’s financial health, daily operations, facilities, events, and sport program administration. Serve as a trusted advisor to the Director of Athletics and a key member of the leadership team; ensure fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, and alignment with the mission of the department, the university, and the NCAA. Play a vital role in scholarship allocation, procurement oversight, long-term financial planning, and compliance with institutional, state, and NCAA policies. Supervise selected sports programs as assigned by the Director of Athletics, providing leadership, accountability, and support for coaches and student-athletes. Key Qualifications
Knowledge of institutional planning and budget processes; knowledge of effective leadership, motivation, and performance evaluation. Thorough knowledge of NCAA compliance, reporting requirements, and federal regulations related to athletics. Skills and Abilities
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to work effectively with diverse groups and across departments. Demonstrated expertise with financial systems and reporting tools (Excel, Tableau, ERP/Financial platforms). Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and make strategic business decisions; provide leadership, administration, program and strategic planning. Ability to facilitate group participation, consensus-building, and foster employee development through coaching and training. Ability to conduct department-level assessments to implement business processes that support the University's strategic mission. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare detailed reports and correspondence with constituents, the campus, and the community. Education And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or a related field. Six (6) years of experience in financial management, business operations, or athletics administration. Experience leading teams, developing policies, and managing complex budgets. Deadline & Application Instructions
