Reporting to the Brand Director, the Brand Manager (Base Business) owns the day-to-day performance of the core portfolio and leads shopper marketing, from strategy through execution. This role is focused on brand health, base business growth, budgeting, and translating brand strategy into action. The ideal candidate is a classically trained CPG leader with strong analytical skills, data storytelling ability, and accountability for brand performance. This is a hybrid role based out of our headquarters in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities

Analyze consumption trends, shipment data, and marketplace dynamics to uncover insights informing base business strategy and in-market actions Manage performance of core SKUs across all channels Track and respond to in-market performance, pricing, and promo dynamics Lead SKU development tied to base business (e.g., pack/size extensions, channel-specific formats), ensuring alignment with strategy, pricing, and profitability targets Lead shopper marketing programs and retailer activation including planning and budgeting, working closely with Sales and creative team Lead creation of national sales material and support retailer specific stories Collaborates with Sales, Operations, and Finance on executional excellence Support annual brand planning and budget management Champion brand consistency across customer and shopper touchpoints Lead cross-functional teams to ensure base business initiatives are executed Mentor and manage one direct report Professional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred 5+ years of brand management experience, preferably in CPG or food industry Experience with analyzing consumption & shipment data; IRI/Circana preferred Proven track record of leading successful OMNI channel brand strategies Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills Shopper marketing experience including strategy, execution and budget management Experience managing budgets and tracking invoices Experience leading cross-functional teams; prior people management experience a plus Experience building sales material and decks for national retailers Physical Requirements

Work is performed inside a temperature-controlled office building with an open floor plan. This job operates in a professional office environment with a business casual dress code. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and other office machines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
