DEA Compliance Lead

to join our team and play a critical role in managing high-risk orders and maintaining strict regulatory adherence. This is a strictly administrative role with no access to product or inventory. What You’ll Be Doing

Critical Order Review:

Validate orders containing controlled substances, reviewing them to guarantee full compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal company standards. You’ll be a first line of defense while escalating non-conforming orders or red flags for further review. Essential Customer Support:

Be a resource for our customers for matters related to controlled substances, assisting with inquiries related to purchasing, order status, and the Controlled Substance Ordering System (CSOS). Guide customers through CSOS processes and troubleshoot ordering issues. Meticulous Recordkeeping:

Maintain comprehensive and accurate records for all controlled substance orders, including receipts, invoices and shipping documents. Maintain sensitive DEA 222 forms and other essential regulatory documentation. Ongoing Compliance Support:

Assist with foundational tasks like tracking controlled substance cycle counts and preparing reports for internal audits. Work with the Director of Controlled Substance to ensure continuous compliance with DEA and state regulations. Key Communication:

Serve as a critical point of contact between customers and internal teams regarding controlled substance orders, escalating issues as appropriate. Help disseminate important compliance-related updates or changes as directed by our compliance team. What You’ll Bring

Experience & Education:

3-5 years of hands-on experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, with direct exposure to controlled substances. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is strongly preferred . Background in law enforcement and fraud detection is valuable. Regulatory Acumen:

Solid foundational understanding of

DEA regulations

and the intricacies of controlled substance ordering processes. Understanding of CFR 1300 – End a plus. System Savvy:

Familiarity with

CSOS (Controlled Substance Ordering System)

and

DEA 222 forms . Sharp Skills:

Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficient with computer systems, including order management platforms and Microsoft Office. Problem-Solving Mindset:

Ability to follow instructions precisely and escalate issues when necessary with sound judgment and critical thinking. Requirements & Qualifications
