Overview
Senior HR Generalist, Administrative Specialist 3 Confidential. The Judiciary offers a strong opportunity for growth and a hybrid work schedule with potential for up to 2 days of remote work outside Judiciary buildings. The salary range for this position is $59,661.54 to $96,767.80 for Schedule A, and $59,661.54 to $91,929.42 for Schedule B. New hires typically start at the minimum of the salary range; promotions may include a 5% base salary increase where applicable. Regular full-time employment with the Judiciary may involve compliance with residency requirements and background checks. Regional offices include the Ocean Vicinage, and the position involves working with Human Resources to administer payroll, leaves, recruitment programs, and HR advisory services in support of managers, supervisors and staff. Responsibilities
The selected individuals will: Administer payroll, leaves and recruitment programs; provide structured training to coworkers; communicate policies and regulations to staff. Provide HR advice and assistance in recruitment and selection; manage payroll processing, database integrity, classification and compensation, leaves of absence, FMLA/NJFLA, Worker's Compensation, position control and benefits. Ensure compliance with Judiciary leave policies; compile reports using Microsoft Office and reporting applications; track recruitment timelines; collaborate with state agencies and outside organizations; facilitate HR trainings; conduct onboarding sessions; compose correspondence; process HR transactions in information systems. Participate in team or work unit meetings and special projects; serve on an employee engagement committee; analyze Judiciary policies, regulations, laws and bargaining unit agreements and communicate findings to management and staff. Perform related duties as required and maintain high competency in data analytics, customer service and recruiting within New Jersey Civil Service regulations and/or leaves. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position. Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and three years of professional experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, salary administration, classification, labor/employee relations, training, selection/recruitment and/or EEO/AA. Substitution:
Applicants without a Bachelor's Degree may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis (one year of experience equals 30 semester hours). An associate's degree plus two years of additional experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience. A law degree may substitute for two years of experience. Education Note:
Degrees from outside the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service (see naces.org/members/). Supplemental Information:
Driver's license required only if driving is necessary for essential duties; US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US. New hires must undergo a thorough background check including fingerprinting. Residency:
