Overview
Procurement Manager - Primoris Energy Services Primoris is seeking a results-driven Manager of Procurement to lead sourcing, negotiations, and supplier performance for major projects in Texas. Experience with pVault and Viewpoint is required or preferred. Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPP, PMP) is a plus. This role starts in Houston with potential relocation as projects expand within Texas. Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with the organization’s business goals and operational needs. Oversee procurement activities for Indirect Operations (e.g., office supplies) and Direct Operations (e.g., raw materials, construction materials, and services for fabrication, production, and construction). Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to ensure best value, quality, and service delivery. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to foster collaboration and performance improvements. Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contracts, SLAs, and company expectations. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, risk management strategies, and procurement policies to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to meet project and operational requirements. Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for strategic sourcing and optimization. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards. Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members to enhance capabilities and effectiveness. Travel to supplier sites, project locations, and regional offices as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 7 years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management experience, preferably in industrial construction or energy with large-scale projects. Experience with ERP and procurement software; SAP, JDE, Oracle; ViewPoint and pVault preferred. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing. Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills; strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and sustainable procurement practices. Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPP, PMP) is a plus. Benefits
