The Impact you will have in this role
Counterparty Credit Risk
Business Analysis is responsible for partnering with counterparty credit risk management users, domain experts, technology and specific business and product areas to support CCR management related projects. Business Analysis liaises with interested parties to assess, analyze, capture, document, communicate, coordinate, validate and deliver business, regulatory, audit and system requirement for financial risk management application. Business analysis role specializes in acting as the main interface between technology and business areas enabling change in an organization context, by defining needs and recommending solutions that can deliver value and help improve the way we make decisions for participants. The Credit Risk Business Solutions (CRBS) team within CCR is responsible for overseeing technology-related projects from initiation to close out. CRBS's prime directive is to work with project team members to understand, communicate, document, coordinate, validate, and deliver business requirements for technology-related projects identified during the budget process, ad-hoc projects that arise, and also as assigned through the Risk Working Committee. CRBS also contributes to the finalization of supporting documentation such as risk assessments for such technology-related projects as well as associated user testing.
Your Primary Responsibilities
Consult with business users and collaborate with them for eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, and workflow analysis. Draft business requirements and user stories with applicable acceptance criteria in collaboration with business domain experts and information technology. Specializes in acting as the main interface between information technology and business areas for requirement discussion. Evaluate test scenarios and test cases based on established system specifications and user requirements. Participate in project planning activities and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Understand business operations and see opportunities for improvement. Understand software development and technical concepts and communicate them to non-technical partners. Contribute to the creation and support of detailed documentation which support business processes, requirements, and project enhancements. Partner with multi-functional business teams, risk business analysts, and technology delivery teams to support all aspects of business requirement gathering and user acceptance testing. Review requirements from business users’ perspective to ensures the testing plans cover business requirements and work in alignment with business users to identify and document business test cases and their testing approach. Oversee and take ownership of end-to-end test case development and execution, including coordinating end-to-end testing efforts with internal and external interfaces. Communicate effectively with partners with status of testing and any concerns that will affect quality or timeliness. Prepare the data within the environment necessary to test application functionality for larger and more complex systems and assist in coordinating the implementation of changes to improve performance. Plan, organize, estimate, and implement business validation, including test case execution and documentation, business validation status reporting and tracking, recording and analyzing of results of testing sessions, preparing and presenting results. Provide input into user sign-off required to approve production implementations. Perform implementation validation and post implementation support. Provide regression testing of product changes. Mitigate risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior. Coordinate with the Counterparty Credit Risk teams to understand business needs and opportunities for automation. Conduct training and oversee demos of new automation to ensure the CCR team understanding of the new functionality. Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of related experience Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success
Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in Business Analysis, Data analysis or software testing Experience with and Ability to prototype new functionality using SQL Python, PowerBI, Tableau is a plus Experience in Financial industry with focus on Risk Management, particularly Counterparty Credit Risk Management, is preferred
