We are seeking an experienced
Senior Business Analyst
with a strong background in IT and extensive experience in business analysis, particularly within government sectors. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in IT and at least 8 years of experience in business analysis, demonstrating a proven ability to drive business improvements and support strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements. Translate business needs into functional specifications. Stakeholder Management:
Engage with various stakeholders, including government officials, to understand their needs and ensure alignment with project goals. Data Analysis:
Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement within government systems and processes. Solution Design:
Work with technical teams to design effective solutions that meet business requirements and enhance operational efficiency. Project Management:
Support project management efforts, including planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure timely delivery. Testing and Validation:
Develop test plans and scenarios; facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions meet business requirements. Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user manuals. Training and Support:
Provide training and ongoing support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 12 years in IT, with a focus on systems analysis, software development, or project management. At least 8 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in government or public sector environments. Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, as well as familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel). Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
