Overview

Turning Space into a Transportation Layer for Earth We are building highly maneuverable re-entry vehicles that can loiter in orbit before precision landing back on Earth, aiming to enable universal access to the globe free of borders and to establish a routine space-to-Earth transportation pathway. Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day management of technicians involved in assembly, integration, and test operations. Oversee the building and assembly of flight vehicles, propulsion systems, and avionics systems to strict technical and quality standards. Manage propulsion system testing and avionics testing campaigns, ensuring accurate test setups, execution, and data capture. Develop and maintain integration and test workflows to ensure efficient, repeatable processes across vehicle programs. Own the schedule and resource planning for integration and test operations to align with program milestones and engineering deliverables. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues during build and test phases. Ensure the safe execution of hazardous operations, including high-pressure and high-temperature propulsion testing. Foster a strong culture of discipline, safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the technician team. Drive facility readiness, tooling needs, and process documentation to support growing integration and test activities. Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle integration, propulsion testing, avionics testing, or related test operations. 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams or test operations crews. Strong background in aerospace vehicle build-up, integration procedures, and test campaign execution. Familiarity with propulsion systems, avionics architectures, fluid systems, and ground support equipment (GSE). Expertise in developing workflows, test documentation, and build/test readiness processes. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred. Experience with launch vehicles, propulsion systems, or flight test programs. Knowledge of hazardous test operations, including cryogenic, high-pressure, and/or hot-fire environments. Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent process improvement training. Location : Our office headquarters is located in Playa Vista, CA. This position requires in office presence. Compensation : The California annual base salary for this role is currently $140,000-180,000. Pay grades are determined by role, level, location, and market data. Individual pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on several factors including skills, education, experience, certifications, and internal equity. To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
