Within the Cell Therapy Development and Operations (CTDO) division, the Portfolio Strategy and Operations (PSO) team focuses on the cell therapy pipeline as well as shaping product strategy throughout the lifecycle of a cell therapy asset. The organization encompasses the project managers, programs managers, portfolio management professionals and technical writing all of whom contribute to defining strategies for both early-and late-stage pipeline cell therapies enabling global regulatory approval and launches. The

Senior Manager, Program/Project Management

plays an important role in providing project & program management skills on late-stage assets and CTDO critical strategic programs/projects. Assignments include operational responsibilities for governance and teams. Lead and direct complex, cross-functional, multi-site teams and workstreams, ensuring comprehensive planning and optimal execution of plans. Ensure interactions and timely collaboration with CTDO ecosystem, functional and site Project Management Offices (PMOs), key stakeholders and supporting functions. Proactively identify and facilitate risks, mitigations, resolution and escalation of issues, tracking and communicating status to stakeholders including leadership team. Leading program/projects and teams with passion, innovation, speed and accountability. The successful candidate will be a demonstrated leader with the breadth of professional experience and the drive to work with both internal and external partners to define and implement effective project management solutions. Key Responsibilities:

Lead planning and execution of integrated, complex plans and teams for strategic CTO team programs & projects, and/or GO team program management and other critical initiatives as defined by CTDO management. Develop and drive detailed program/project plans, identifying critical path and timing while meeting strategic intent and achieving key milestones. Identify stakeholders and drive conversations to align clear project requirements, scope, and deliverables. Leverage SOP’s, team members, subject matter experts and historical project information to identify activities and resource areas required to produce the project deliverables. Work with the program and project sponsor and stakeholders to secure resources needed to execute work. Support the capital asset request and budget management process where applicable. Schedule, plan and manage project team workshops and meetings. Develop and manage project planning and execution schedules. Coordinate and track team member execution of project plan activities and action items to ensure that deliverables are completed on time and in alignment with Quality standards. Identify, document, and manage project risks and issues. Control changes to scope and timeline in conjunction with project sponsors and governing bodies. Prepare and deliver presentations and project status updates to project team members, leaders, and other stakeholders. Electronically capture, maintain, and share project information using online knowledge management tools for project team transparency and future project reference. Tightly manage planning and communication around regulatory filings and site implementations to ensure regulatory and cGMP compliance and alignment on timelines where appropriate. Promote excellence in project management capabilities through use of PMO best practices, knowledge sharing, innovation, and process improvements. Supports monthly Tier 5 portfolio review meeting and preparation. Support preparation of business case/s for new and current projects and usher projects/programs through stage gates ensuring all required criteria are met. Supports GO team operations as needed including recurring status meetings, reporting, risk tracking, steering committee meetings, and conflict resolution, coordination across GO sub-teams to align, organize and provide direction aligned with strategy lead, and support GO team BOW. Provides program/project management support on asset CMC activities as needed. Proactively drive scenario analyses to manage potential impact on plans and timelines and recommend strategic direction to management. Foster diverse/inclusive high-performance teams and maintain strong relationships with operational and functional leadership. GO team program management responsibilities:

Support performance oversight and reporting of GO Team goals and objectives as necessary. Define project team and project management resource requirements and work within the PMO ecosystem to identify project managers, coaching and mentoring less experienced PMs when needed. Support disciplined project prioritization and oversight. Provide program-level leadership and direction to project managers. Support product life cycle strategy management, including due diligence, alliance management, launch planning and execution, and technology transfer as needed. Work with key GO Team members to ensure continuity of supply, end-to-end optimization, comprehensive change management, and effective management of technology and regulatory issues if necessary. Supports preparation for bi-annual strategic business reviews, annual strategy documents, annual Hoshin Kanri strategic planning, annual functional planning, and budget planning processes as needed. Qualifications & Experience:

B.S. in Engineering, Pharmacy, science or technical discipline, advanced degree preferred. PMP certification highly desirable. Understanding of cGMPs and regulatory CMC. A minimum of 8 years in BioPharma operational or development discipline, including demonstrated experience managing complex projects. Experience in project/program management of complex projects involving cross-functional, multi-site, international teams. Experience with manufacturing sites and staff. Proficiency with project management and Microsoft tools e.g. Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint. Ability to achieve results and exercise influence across a global matrix organization. Ability to work independently with high level of accountability. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and have the ability to deal effectively with all levels of management. Strong analytical skills, well organized and capable of managing multiple projects with respect to priorities. Ability to exercise discretion, discernment and to be comfortable to operate when erroneous decisions will have serious impact on the overall success of operations. Ability to interact internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of potentially difficult and sensitive matters to influence policy making bodies both internally and externally. Familiarity with financial principles, core business concepts, and business and operations management. Ability to develop business analysis and reporting. Compensation Overview: The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed below for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
