Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Job Description One of the largest cruise lines is looking for a Manager - Port Operations in Fort Lauderdale, FL (hybrid 3x per week). This role manages and establishes relationships with local authorities and service providers in ports globally, ensuring vessels are serviced effectively within local rules, regulations, and practices while observing company policies. Responsibilities include driving objectives to support KPIs and financial expectations, coordinating vendor services to meet company requirements, and upholding performance standards. The manager maintains effective communication with local authorities (such as Customs and Immigration), port authorities, and service providers (port agencies, cruise terminal operators, stevedores, security companies, and transportation services). The role also involves budget preparation and review, developing relationships with local port communities, representing the company at local meetings and events, and ensuring port activities are performed within guidelines and budget constraints. This position requires swift action to adapt to changing external and internal factors, ensuring operational plans are executed effectively and pursuing cost-saving opportunities. In-office three days per week with two days remote.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all port activities supporting company vessels in assigned regions are performed within set guidelines, performance standards, and budgetary restraints.

Verify port operations performance against objectives, analyze and prepare reports to verify effectiveness, drive improvements, and implement initiatives.

Coordinate vendor services according to contracts and agreements to meet company requirements.

Assist in annual budget preparation, process port expense invoices, and support monthly financial reviews to drive expense reduction initiatives.

Participate in planning, development, and management of port operation programs and vessel deployment itineraries.

Develop professional relationships with local port communities and representatives; represent the company at local meetings, public functions, and events.

Responsible for regional performance of port operations for US and global destinations.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

BS or BA in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics; equivalent work experience in related area; senior marine expert with shoreside expertise of a shipping company, including port operation.

5+ years of experience in a management or leadership role with progressively more responsibility.

Prior experience in port-related management and/or marine operations, preferably passenger vessel operations.

This position is hybrid and follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday – Thursday).
