Overview
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H + H/Queens has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director of the Department of Anesthesiology. Responsibilities
Provide a full spectrum of anesthetic clinical care. Clinical coordination/in charge of the operating room at least 3 days a week. Take overnight calls; night shifts may occur more than 3 times a month. Perform arterial line placement, central line placement, TAP block, and other peripheral nerve blocks as needed. Administrative responsibilities
Assist the Director with oversight of all aspects of the service and supervision of staff. Serve as Acting Director when the Director is away. Develop a strong interest in clinical quality operations and pursue opportunities for program development and advancement; motivated to extend the Anesthesia Department services. Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree; ACGME-approved residency in Anesthesiology. Board certified by the ABA or in the process of certification; valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Strong clinical abilities, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with public health systems is preferred.
