Where You’ll Work: Procurement & QA / Supply Chain About the Role: The Senior Manager, Procurement is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of product sourcing, procurement, and vendor relationship management to support the Food Bank’s ambitious distribution goals. With oversight of a high-performing team, this role drives sourcing strategies that balance cost-effectiveness, food quality, and operational efficiency. What You’ll Do: Sourcing & Purchasing Help develop and lead the execution of the Food Bank’s product sourcing and procurement strategy aligned with annual distribution and budget targets. Manage and mentor the Procurement Specialists, setting clear goals, tracking performance metrics, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Establish category strategies for core product areas including USDA, produce, retail donation, purchased product, and non-food items. Maintain a deep understanding of food industry trends, procurement best practices, and Feeding America systems, sharing insights and recommendations with senior leadership. Lead procurement planning in collaboration with Supply Chain, Finance, and Programs to ensure adequate product flow and optimal inventory turns. Supplier and Donor Relationship Management: Serve as the liaison to national and local food donors, vendors, and Feeding America sourcing teams. Cultivate, negotiate, and manage strategic supplier partnerships to secure high-quality, high-volume product donations and purchases. Represent ACFB at key industry events, trade shows, and Feeding America initiatives to strengthen partnerships and stay ahead of sector trends. Oversee communications and contract negotiations with vendors and large-scale donors. Internal Collaboration & Operations Excellence: Partner with Warehouse, Logistics, and Inventory teams to forecast inventory needs and ensure the right product is on hand at the right time. Act as a subject matter expert and internal advisor on sourcing systems (e.g., Donor Express, Choice, Produce Matchmaker), purchasing analytics, and vendor performance. Support food safety and quality assurance standards by ensuring compliance in product sourcing and vendor relationships. Lead data-driven procurement reporting and present findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams. Skills your resume should demonstrate: Proven track record of leading procurement or sourcing strategy in a complex, high-volume environment—ideally within supply chain, food distribution, or related industries. Strong leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams, setting goals, and driving accountability. Demonstrated success building and maintaining strategic vendor and donor relationships, including negotiating agreements and managing key accounts. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, make the “ask,” and represent the organization in high-visibility settings. Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-informed decisions, interpret trends, and create clear reports, charts, and presentations for a variety of audiences. Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively to meet shared goals across supply chain, warehouse, finance, and program teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM and procurement systems is a plus. Comfortable navigating change, solving complex problems, and taking initiative in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. There may be some Physical Demands and Travel: Employee is routinely required to lift 25 lbs. Expected local travel time for this position is up to 10% per year.
