Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Manager located in Louisville, KY. The Procurement Manager will oversee and direct the activities of the purchasing department along with providing leadership and management to their assigned direct reports. Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure the acquisition and allocation of materials are available when needed. ● Bachelor’s degree or minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing preferred ● Must be a US citizen ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite ● Oral and written communication skills Preferred Skills ● Machining background preferred ● Familiar with outside processes/subcontract ● Military/government contracting experience and knowledge preferred ● Proficient in ERP/MRP Systems General Tasks and Responsibilities ● Develop and implement purchasing systems, including but not limited to, processes and procedures that align with the company’s objectives. ● Managing supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contracts and resolution of issues. ● Conducting and analyzing market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers. ● Responsible for both strategic and tactical procurement activities. ● Familiar with inventory traceability from receipt to shipment. ● Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions. ● Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment. ● Acts as the company’s representative in negotiations with suppliers with focus on supplier relationship management. ● Coordinates removal or disposal of surplus materials. ● Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
