We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Albany, New York (US-NY), United States (US).
The Senior Project Manager will apply knowledge and experience using industry standards and best practices on all activities required to implement this initiative.
Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager will work directly with the Department of Health (DOH) Division of System and Operations (DOS) Executive Management and Project Director to manage activities in support of the Continuing Medicaid Eligibility Modernization effort. Job Responsibilities Include: Managing, coordinating, and reporting on projects and workstreams of varying complexity over the full life cycle, from origination through closeout in accordance with the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK), Project Management Plan (PMO) PM Playbook, and project governance, as applicable. Identifying, developing, and maintaining positive relationships with executive leadership, project sponsor and stakeholders, including vendor staff, and be ability to influence matrixed resources Monitoring of vendor activities, including design, development and implementation, and operational oversight Assembling and managing cross-functional teams, leading with minimal guidance, and identifying resource needs Developing and managing plans and schedules to ensure on-time completion of tasks Developing and managing a communication plan to effectively communicate program information and status across multiple audiences, including the Medicaid executive leadership, project teams, vendors, and stakeholders Facilitating decision-making within the program and its leadership Monitoring and controlling scope, schedule, budget, and resources to meet project objectives and commitments Proactively identifying and resolving issues and risks with the project team and escalating where appropriate Providing regular status reports highlighting accomplishments, risks and issues to the project team and senior management Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in management or business Minimum of 8 years leading large cross-functional project teams on multiple simultaneous work streams Minimum of 5 years of experience leading complex projects/programs with significant executive and stakeholder involvement and visibility Minimum 50% onsite in Albany, NY Minimum of 5 years of experience with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with project management (PMBOK) best practices Experience with managing projects in government sector Ability to work in complex environment with many diverse stakeholders Use of Jira or similar tool for risks, actions, issues, and decisions (RAID) Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $79,920- $125,000. NTT DATA is an equal opportunity employer.
