Top Secret Eligible Sherpa 6 is seeking a Director – PMO for our Springfield, VA, or Littleton, CO location. Exceptional remote candidates will also be considered. The successful candidate will oversee execution of a diverse program portfolio supported by Program and Project Managers and reporting to the COO. This leader will drive excellence in program execution through disciplined baseline management, proactive risk and opportunity management and structured communications cycles. The Director – PMO ensures compliance with our Program Management Manual, fosters strong customer intimacy and builds high-performing teams that consistently meet or exceed contract requirements. The successful candidate demonstrates the ability to: Manage technical program execution across a portfolio of DoD contracts. Lead, mentor, and grow Program Managers, Project Finance and other staff. Establish and enforce program governance, reporting, and execution discipline. Provide executive-level engagement with customers and government entities. Drive continuous improvement and maintain a One Team culture across Sherpa 6. This role requires senior experience managing customers and contracts in a DoD environment. The Director – PMO oversees the execution of a diverse program portfolio supported by Program and Project Managers. This leader must embody a passion for continuous improvement and have 5 years of leadership experience managing PMs or establishing a PM Center of Excellence (CoE). Responsibilities

Lead and sustain professional, technical, and administrative staff to fulfill current and anticipated contract tasks. Perform contract oversight duties in alignment with the Program Management Manual. Ensure subcontractor performance and compliance with prime contract requirements, pricing, and schedules. Oversee the preparation of cost performance reports as required (per CLINs) and ODCs for compliance. Support the identification, develop, and pursue new business opportunities. Develop strategic plans with customers and the PMO; strengthen customer relationships. Ensure appropriate assignment of tasks, responsibilities, and authority for program execution. Establish and enforce operating policies and procedures consistent with Sherpa 6 standards within program execution. Plan and de-conflict program resource requirements, such as staffing. Implement proactive risk and opportunity management within program execution. Represent programs at the executive level with customers and government stakeholders. Expand and develop a highly skilled staff, improving core competencies. Instill and practice methodologies for continuous improvement. Supervise assigned managers (training, performance reviews, and job descriptions). Create and foster a "One Team" culture across multiple sites. Lead lessons learned and After Action Reviews (AARs) to capture and apply best practices across the portfolio. Mentor assigned Program/Project Managers; conduct performance reviews and enforce professional standards. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related technical field (STEM). 15+ years of Program Management within DoD, with 5+ years leading IT-based efforts (Development, Operations, Maintenance). Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Proven management experience overseeing all aspects of program execution. Engineering background preferred (or similar). Success managing contracts > $10M annually, including cost-plus fixed fee and firm fixed price. Extensive knowledge of FAR/DFARS. Experience preparing budgets, schedules, and staffing plans. Experience managing contract risk program. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to establish baselines and manage risk/opportunity to meet financial and contractual obligations. Experience running agile programs. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Preferred Qualifications

Engineering or technical background. Track record managing multiple medium - to large - scale systems concurrently. Proven ability to deliver programs on time, on budget, with high quality. Experience with operations requiring high configuration management and complex integration. The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.
