Power Delivery Substation Project Manager
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is seeking a Substation Project Manager for the Power Delivery Project Management team. The successful candidate will manage technical, schedule, quality, and financial aspects of Power Delivery Substation projects, develop client relationships, and market POWER's Power Delivery services to existing and new clients, particularly in the South and Southwest Region. This position will be based out of Austin, TX or Fort Worth, TX with the ability to work remotely from any mutually acceptable location. Travel to POWER and/or client offices for periodic meetings may be required. Responsibilities
Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships Lead proposals, negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors, win and execute projects in collaboration with project design teams Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team Lead client relationship building Work primarily with Power Delivery project teams, interfacing with other disciplines as needed based on the project Travel to clients within the reporting region and client location as required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field Minimum of five (5) years' applicable industry experience with IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, Munis, etc. Minimum of five (5) years' relevant project management experience Experience leading engineering and/or construction teams on medium to large electrical utility scale substation projects (high voltage and/or extra high voltage) Knowledge of project management processes and tools (Contract Management, Internal/External Team Meetings, Earned Value Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Schedule Management with CPM scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or equivalent, Financial Management) General understanding of power delivery infrastructure engineering Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) Strong leadership and communication skills Benefits
