The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services and for supporting the Store Manager in various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store. Responsibilities include ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage, and managing merchandising and inventory control in adherence with Company policies and procedures. This position may work up to 38 hours per week. The minimum age requirement for an Assistant Store Manager is 18. The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds for periods in excess of 8 hours. Prior retail and/or management experience is required.
