The Manager Data Product Owner (Healthcare) will lead an analytics team in an agile setting to prioritize and deliver analytic dashboards, reports, and data assets in an EPIC (EHR) environment. The product owner will translate stakeholder needs into a backlog, write acceptance criteria, and oversee demonstration of completed work to stakeholders. They will create status reports and roadmaps for upper management and hold recurring meetings and showcases with key stakeholders to align backlog and deliverables. Experience in SQL and analytics guidance is preferred. The role requires prioritizing work across stakeholders and partnering with business leaders to deliver insights that support business outcomes for Kelsey Seybold and its patients. If you are located in Texas, you will have the flexibility to work remotely.

Primary Responsibilities

PEOPLE

Establishes and maintains clear communication; leads problem resolution related to project scope; identifies needs and constraints; facilitates communication and manages stakeholder expectations.

Executes project requests from customers and leadership; serves as a liaison across client groups and management levels.

Writes effective user stories and negotiates MVP requirements to drive high-performing scrum teams and continuous delivery.

SERVICE

Collaborates with the team to drive projects/features to successful outcomes; performs assessments and problem solving.

Works with leadership across departments to identify priorities and achieve organizational alignment.

TECHNICAL DELIVERY

Understands data product construction using ETL, data modeling, and dashboards UI.

Light SQL or data querying as needed to answer analytical questions.

HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE

Ability to interact with senior leadership and manage backlog negotiations.

Exposure to healthcare operations dealing with clinicians and staff.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

8+ years as a Product Owner or Sr. EPIC data analyst

5+ years as a data consultant with a consulting firm

Healthcare clinical or Health Plan experience

Light experience with SQL and understanding of data warehousing and BI tools

Working knowledge of EPIC Clarity

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and/or projects

Ability to write good user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria in an Agile setting

Strong project and time management skills

Experience with ALM tools such as Jira, DevOps, or Rally

Excellent presentation skills and PowerPoint development

Preferred Qualifications

MBA

Certified Scrum Master

Experience with data visualization tools and ETL concepts

Experience delivering dashboards using Power BI or Tableau

Ability to run live JAD sessions with stakeholders to design dashboards/UI

Use of design thinking methods to deliver MVPs and iterate

Understanding of the technical product delivery lifecycle

Pay is based on several factors including location, education, experience, and certifications.
