The SCM within Eaton's Aerospace Interconnect division is responsible for managing key supply chain functions including materials planning, scheduling and ordering activities, direct and indirect material purchasing, inventory control and warehousing, and shipping and receiving. Manages and directs supply chain personnel to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining inventory levels. Trains and educates direct reports on supply chain management techniques, business systems, reports, and related tools to ensure timely and economical completion of customer requirements. Essential Functions
Manage and direct supply chain personnel in planning, scheduling, procurement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery and maintain inventory levels. Manage current and future demand with manufacturing and supplier capabilities to satisfy customer requirements. Own the Production Plan from the S&OP monthly process derived from the sales forecast. Establish standard work and attainment of SCM KPIs. Work with corporate commodity teams on supplier performance and cost-out programs. Participate as a member of the plant’s senior management team and provide leadership for local, division, and corporate initiatives. Analyze data (including ERP information) and prepare consolidated managerial reports to facilitate action for optimal supply chain execution. Ensure correct planning parameters and transaction discipline in order execution systems (SAP) for proper order generation and inventory balances. Manage material cost and schedule impact of proposed engineering changes and ensure successful implementation of approved releases. Meet or exceed key metrics (days on hand, gross inventory, on-time delivery, days payable outstanding, cost savings, cycle count accuracy, supplier invoice on-hold, and profit plan/budget forecasts). Maintain inventory accuracy and fulfill customer orders while optimizing overall inventory levels. Foster an environment aligned with Eaton’s vision and continuous improvement in supply chain requirements. Support SCM strategic initiatives and lead related SCM/OpA assessments; develop organizational capabilities through training and coaching. This role reports on-site daily from 8am - 5pm at the Camarillo, CA facility. Relocation is available for qualified candidates residing in the USA. Bonus: For the selected candidate (not requiring relocation), Eaton will provide a $15K hiring bonus distributed after starting in the new role. Internal Eaton employees are not eligible for the bonus. Education & Qualifications
Minimum Education Required Bachelors Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 4 years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing or operations environment. Minimum 3 years of related professional and supervisory/managerial experience. ITAR compliance: This position requires use of information or access to hardware subject to ITAR. All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, etc.). Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position (no CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H-1B, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering. Experience in metal fabrication, electronics, purchasing, and materials management. CPIM or C.P.M. certification preferred. Knowledge of Oracle/SAP. Skills Full knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) and order generation logic. Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, and related operations. Lean material management, Kanban, JIT, and MRP principles. Collaborative leadership and strong interpersonal communication; ability to influence and build consensus. Strategic orientation and ability to communicate with senior leadership. Analytical, problem-solving, project management, and facilitation skills; leadership and mentoring capabilities.
